Before the opening of the privately owned english language public library at Rákóczi út 11 the venue hosted a series of pop-up exhibitions.  

 

During March and April of 2015 our team has organised four exhibitions. On the first occasion the artists have been very cautious and we appriciated their works only among friends. At the last vernissage two bands were playing in separate rooms and it took great effort to cut across the crowd. On weekdays the flat served as a an open workshop and its atmosphere has attracted visitors from all walks of live. This inspiring millieu was an encouraging call for creativity.

 

Since then, most of the organisers and some artists have moved to different countries  and continued their studies abroad. As Hungarians around the capital cities  of Europe we feel the responsibility to introduce fragments of our culture in these new habitats.
